Ela is the second single off Àbáse’s debut album Laroyê, set to be released in November, 2021.

"  Im so grateful to have met and worked with Jesuton whos unique story, voice and personality had a huge influence on me. She is definitely an inspiration.   The instrumental was created in Eduardo Santana and Rodrigo Ferreira’s apartment on a calm morning in Botafogo. It was the first time I got to play on Jesuton’s electric piano that she generously landed me for my stay and Elas bass line and chord progression was the first thing I played on it. I finished the idea on Rodrigos acoustic guitar that was always around the house, witch is interesting because I don’t play guitar at all. But the song just called for an acoustic and it had to be played. The background sounds are all coming through our living room window, capturing the ambiance of our street. The vocal session at Jesutons Santa Teresa apartment was equally magical, her voice and melodies are out of this world.   To me this song captures so beautifully the longing and magical desire I felt in Rio. Hard to describe the feeling but there’s a beautiful Portuguese word for it: saudade." Àbáse
